The Office of the Prime Minister has from 24 April appointed Mr. Tarjei Skirbekk (37), information advisor, Oslo, as political advisor to Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Støre. Skirbekk succeeds Ms. Gry Larsen, today appointed state secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Office of the Prime Minister has from 24 April appointed Mr. Tarjei Skirbekk (37), information advisor, Oslo, as political advisor to Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Støre. Skirbekk succeeds Ms. Gry Larsen, today appointed state secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Tarjei Skirbekk comes from a post as information advisor to the Labour Party’s parliamentary group. He has previously been advisor at the Ministry of Education and Research and senior executive officer at the Norwegian UNESCO Commission. Skirbekk has been member of the Labour Party’s programme committee and leader of the Labour Youth in Bergen and Hordaland. Skirbekk holds the Cand. Philol. degree from the University of Oslo 2001, with history of ideas as his main subject.
