In today’s session of the Council of State the King has appointed Ms. Kirsti Bergstø (29), social worker, Alta, as state secretary to Minister of Children, Equality and Social Inclusion Audun Lysbakken.

Kirsti Bergstø grew up at Nesseby in Finnmark, and is an educated child-care worker. Since 1 February 2010 she has been deputy leader of the BLD’s women panel. She was elected leader of the Socialist Left Party’s youth organisation 2006-2008.
