In today’s session of the Council of State, the King has appointed Mr. HansKristian Amundsen (51), editor-in-chief and managing director, Tromsø, as state secretary to Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs Lisbeth Berg-Hansen. Amundsen succeeds Mr. Vidar Ulriksen who has been honourably discharged from the office as state secretary.

Amundsen succeeds Mr. Vidar Ulriksen who has been honourably discharged from the office as state secretary.

At a point of time to be decided by the Office of the Prime Minister, Hans Kristian Amundsen will leave the Ministry of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs and become state secretary to Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg.

Hans Kristian Amundsen comes from the post as editor-in-chief and managing director of the regional newspaper Nordlys. He has previously held editorial posts at Dagbladet, Finnmark Dagblad, Arbeiderbladet, Nyhetskanalen and A-pressen. Amundsen grew up at  Skoganvarre in the County of Finnmark.
