Norway's Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg today sent his condolences to his Japanese colleague Naoto Kan, following the major earthquake that struck Japan earlier today.
Norway's Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg today sent his condolences to his Japanese colleague Naoto Kan, following the major earthquake that struck Japan earlier today.
"Our thoughts are with all those who have lost their loved ones and those who are injured", Stoltenberg wrote. He said the Norwegian Government stands ready to assist in any way Japanese authorities might need.
Underlining the close relations between Norway and Japan, Prime Minister Stoltenberg said many Norwegians are following the situation in Japan with great sympathy and concern.
In agreement with Japanese authorities, it has today been decided that Prime Minister Stoltenberg's visit to Japan 15-18 March will be postponed.
