In Copenhagen it was agreed that USD 100 billion would be mobilised annually by 2020 to fund climate-related measures in developing countries. The High-level Advisory Group is to propose various possibilities for how this goal can be reached, and on 5 November it submitted its report to the UN Secretary-General.
The members of the High-level Advisory Group on Climate Change Financing represent both rich and poor countries. Heads of state, ministers and financial experts have provided advice to the group.
