The aim is to foster a sense of inclusion in the women and men through their inclusion in the group, which strengthens their sense of identity and helps them cope with their situation. The organisation also provides help for self-help. At the meetings the members are able to meet role models who show that it is possible for transsexuals to be open about their lives, who are well educated and who have good jobs. Far too many transsexuals end up on social security, and the meetings are intended to promote an optimistic attitude by showing that the diagnosis does not prevent them from pursuing their education and getting a job.
