The new house has advanced technology that digitizes the Norwegian culture and knowledge of history. Thousands of books converted into digital files are preserved for posterity in the National Library's digital security magazine.
As long as the copyright conditions allow it, Norwegian books and newspapers are made available to users online.
Nearly 61,000 books are now available in full text at the National Library’s website. In addition, large amounts of newspapers, photographic materials, audio and manuscripts are also available.
