Roger Ingebrigtsen has been Political Adviser in the Ministry of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs. He is Chairman of the Board of the Norway Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra.

He was Political Adviser in the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development 1992-1996 and State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture 2000-2001. He has also been an Executive Councillor of Troms County.

Mr. Ingebrigtsen has been news editor of the newspaper Nordlys and a journalist in the newspapers VG and Dagbladet.
