The social partners are currently working to find solutions on coverage of costs for travel, board and lodging in the regulations on general application of collective agreements.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs has informed the Authority about this in a letter today.
In October 2016 the Authority decided to launch formal proceedings against Norway, claiming that the Norwegian rules om general application of coverage of costs for travel, board and lodging is in breach with the Posting of Workers Directive.
– I have asked the social partners involved to work together in order to find solutions based on agreements in this case. The Authority has accepted this process, and has asked to be kept informed on the status of the work, says the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Anniken Haugli.
– The feedback we have received from the social partners so far, indicates that they have established a constructive dialogue, and that the work is progressing appropriately. I am very pleased with this, says the Minister.
