On Thursday, Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Mr. Tord Lien, participated in the joint EU/Norway conference on "A reinforced energy partnership between Norway and the EU" in Brussels. He also had a meeting with Günther Oettinger, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Energy.
On Thursday, Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Mr. Tord Lien, participated in the joint EU/Norway conference on "A reinforced energy partnership between Norway and the EU" in Brussels. He also had a meeting with Günther Oettinger, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Energy.
Among the main topics for the joint conference were developments in the power and gas markets as well as security of supply issues.
- Norway is an important partner for the EU when it comes to security of supply. This is reflected in today’s agenda where we highlight energy security in both gas and power markets, Minister Lien said in his speech.
Later during the day, Minister Lien had a meeting with Vice-President Oettinger on the Energy Dialogue between Norway and the EU.
