‘Norway and the US share concerns about the situation for civil society in Hungary,’ said Minister of EEA and EU Affairs Vidar Helgesen, following a meeting with US Deputy Assistant Secretary Thomas Melia today.
‘Norway and the US share concerns about the situation for civil society in Hungary,’ said Minister of EEA and EU Affairs Vidar Helgesen, following a meeting with US Deputy Assistant Secretary Thomas Melia today.
Mr Helgesen and Mr Melia exchanged views on the situation in Hungary, and expressed particular concern about the situation for civil society. They also discussed a number of other issues relating to developments in the region.
Mr Melia has had meetings in several European countries, and is visiting Norway following talks in Hungary and Poland.
