'I strongly condemn the attack on innocent civilians in the Thai capital, Bangkok. The attack is a cowardly and ruthless act of violence. I offer my condolences to those who have lost their loved ones, and my thoughts go to the injured and to the people of Thailand,' said Minister of Foreign Affairs Børge Brende.
The attack took place near the Hindu Erawan Shrine in the centre of Bangkok on Monday 17 August. The shrine is visited by thousands of tourists and believers every day.
So far, there is no indication that any Norwegian citizens have been affected by the attack.
