‘I condemn today’s terrorist attack in the Turkish town of Suruc in the strongest possible terms. My thoughts and sympathies are with those who have lost their loved ones, and with the people of Turkey,’ said Minister of Foreign Affairs Børge Brende.
According to reports, around 30 people have been killed and more than a hundred injured. The attack took place in the town of Suruc, just across the border from Syria.
‘Turkey has suffered a shocking, brutal attack. The fact that the attack targeted a youth organisation makes it even more deplorable. The international community must stand together in responding to the common threat posed by the spread of violent extremism,’ Mr Brende said.
