State Secretary Ronny Berg
Mr. Berg was appointed as State Secretary for the Minister of Fisheries in December 2015. Prior to becoming State Secretary in 2015, he was the deputy mayor of Alta municipality from 2011 to 2015. In 2013, he was also elected as the deputy representative from Finnmark county to the Parliament. Berg is a certified driver instructor, and prior to taking public office, he worked for the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. In addition to his career, he has been actively involved in the Progress Party at the municipal and county level. He was the leader the Progress Party in Finnmark county from 2011 to 2016, and has held a number of political positions as leader of the local party, as county leader and as a council representative.
