Swensen holds a master’s degree in international politics from Aberystwyth University in Wales with a focus on international cooperation, especially with regard to development aid and climate policy. His previous position was head of communications in Plan International Norway. He has broad political experience from elected office both at the local and county level, as well as from employment in the Workers’ Youth League and the Labour Party.
In addition, Swensen’s hobby is music and he plays several instruments, having spent his leisure time at culture school as a teenager. He is therefore passionate about making it easier for children and teenagers to participate in art and cultural activities.
