The Election Act Commission

The Government has appointed a public legislative commission to draft a new Election Act. The Commission is headed by High Court Judge Ørnulf Røhnebæk and has 18 members.

Internet voting trials

Internet voting pilots were carried out in a limited number of municipalities during the local election in 2011 and parliamentary election in 2013.

Reduced voting age trials

During the 2011 and 2015 local elections, trials with reduced voting age were carried out in selected municipalities.
