The agreement on climate policy

Through the agreement on climate policy in the Storting, Norwegian politicians have adopted goals for climate policy and measures for how we will reach the goals.

Introduction programme

The goal is to give the individual basic skills in the Norwegian language and a fundamental insight into Norwegian social conditions and to prepare him/her for work or education.

Mediation and parental cooperation

Married couples and cohabitants who have children under 16 and who move apart and parents considering legal action may be allowed up to seven hours of free mediation.

International forest policy

Norway is working for a close and committed international cooperation to address transboundary forest policy challenges, and to ensure sustainable management of forests worldwide.

The Secretary General is the administrative head of the ministry. The information secretariat and the office-reception staff for the secretary and political leaders are part of the permanent secretary’s staff.
