About the EEA and Norway Grants

The EEA and Norway Grants represent the contribution of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to reducing economic and social disparities and strengthening bilateral relations with 15 EU countries, primarily in Eastern and Central Europe. Norway

Which countries benefit?

For the period 2014-2021, €2.8 billion has been set aside under the EEA and Norway Grants. Projects may be implemented until 2024. Funding is channelled through a number of programmes in the 15 beneficiary countries.

A wide range of institutions and organisations can benefit from the EEA and Norway Grants.

Participation in EU agencies and programmes

Norway participates in 11 EU programmes and 31 EU agencies. This is an important part of Norway’s cooperation with the EU.
