The Ministry of Government Administration and Labour was established on 1 January 1990. It is listed here as the Ministry of Government Administration and Labour (of 1990). Labour affairs were transferred from the Ministry of Local Government and Labour (of 1948), government administration affairs from the Ministry of Government Administration and Consumer Affairs. These ministries now had their name changed to the Ministry of Local Government and the Ministry of Family and Consumer Affairs respectively, the latter listed here as the Ministry of Family and Consumer Affairs (of 1990).
On 1 January 1993, the Ministry of Government Administration and Labour (of 1990) had its name changed to the Ministry of Government Administration. Labour affairs were transferred to the Ministry of Local Government. This now had its name changed to the Ministry of Local Government and Labour, listed here as the Ministry of Local Government and Labour (of 1993).
