On 1 January 1990, the Ministry of Local Government and Labour (of 1948) had its name changed to the Ministry of Local Government. Labour affairs were transferred to the new Ministry of Government Administration and Labour, listed here as the Ministry of Government Administration and Labour (of 1990). Housing affairs were transferred to the Ministry of Government Administration and Consumer Affairs. This now had its name changed to the Ministry of Family and Consumer Affairs, listed here as the Ministry of Family and Consumer Affairs (of 1990).
On 1 January 1993, the Ministry of Local Government had its name changed to the Ministry of Local Government and Labour, listed here as the Ministry of Local Government and Labour (of 1993). Labour affairs were transferred from the Ministry of Government Administration and Labour (of 1990), which now had its name changed to the Ministry of Government Administration.
