On 1 January 1997, the Ministry of Government Administration had its name changed to the Ministry of Planning and Coordination. Long-term planning affairs were transferred to this Ministry.
On 1 January 1998, the Ministry of Planning and Coordination had its name changed to the Ministry of Government Administration and Labour, listed here as the Ministry of Government Administration and Labour (of 1998). Labour affairs were transferred from the Ministry of Local Government and Labour (of 1993), which now had its name changed to the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.
