Ministry of Social Affairs (of 1913) (1913–1916)

On 1 July 1913, the Ministry of Trade (of 1905) had its name changed to the Ministry of Social Affairs (Ministry of Social Affairs, Trade, Industry and Fisheries), listed here as the Ministry of Social Affairs (of 1913). A number of affairs were transferred. Most of the shipping affairs were transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Affairs concerning civil medical services, emigration control and certain legal affairs were transferred to the Ministry of Social Affairs (of 1913) from the Ministry of Justice and the Police. Affairs concerning the Holdings and Housing Bank, sickness and relief funds and life insurance companies were transferred from the Ministry of Finance and Customs. Affairs concerning poverty and vagrancy were transferred from the Ministry of Church and Education. A number of labour affairs were transferred from the Ministry of Agriculture.

On 1 October 1916, trade, shipping, industry, crafts and fisheries affairs were transferred from the Ministry of Social Affairs (of 1913) to the new Ministry of Trade (of 1916). The Ministry of Social Affairs (of 1913) now had a chamge in its full name in Norwegian, and is listed here as the Ministry of Social Affairs (of 1916).
