Interim Government in Stockholm May-June 1875

26. May 1875–5. June 1875

Between 1852 and 1881, a Swedish-Norwegian interim government seven times held the executive power while the King was ill or travelling abroad. The interim government normally consisted of ten members from each country, that is of the entire Swedish Government and the majority of the Norwegian Government.

Norwegian members were the members of the Norwegian Council of State Division in Stockholm and ministers who came over from Christiania (Oslo) for the interim period. The Swedish and the Norwegian Prime Minister presided alternately; the order between them decided by the drawing of lots.

This presentation contains the names of the Norwegian members of this interim government.
