The petroleum sector is Norway’s largest industry, and have in recent years been characterised by a high level of activity and a strong sense of optimism. Norwegian authorities have over the last years made active and parallel efforts on improved recovery from producing fields, development of commercial discoveries, exploration activity in open acreage and the opening of new areas.
Facts 2013 contains a comprehensive overview of the Norwegian petroleum sector, including descriptions of industry structure, regulatory framework, exploration and development activities as well as research, technology development and environmental considerations. The book also contains a complete overview of the Norwegian petroleum resources and key information about all operational fields.
