Identification of systemically important institutions

The Ministry of Finance has today decided that DNB ASA, Kommunalbanken AS, Nordea Eiendomskreditt AS and Sparebank 1 Sør-Norge ASA still shall be identified as systemically important institutions in Norway, as recommended by the Norwegian FSA.

Norway expressing strong support for Palestine at the Cairo conference

“Conflicts and destabilization in the Middle East have led to death and destruction on a massive scale. Millions have been displaced. The Palestinian economy is in crisis. In this dramatic situation, the Norwegian government has proposed increasing the support to the Palestinian government amounting to USD 9.2 million and to UNRWA close to USD 3 million ”, said State Secretary Andreas Kravik.

Norway contributes F-35 fighter jets and NASAMS air defence to Poland

Ukraine remains in critical need of military support, with Poland as as the most critical logistics hub.. Starting early December 2024, Norway will assume air defence responsibility for the most important hub for the transport of both civilian and military material from other countries to Ukraine. This way, Norway contributes to ensuring that aid to Ukraine reaches its destination, allowing Ukraine to continue its fight for freedom’, says Minister of Defence Bjørn Arild Gram.
