The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Defence will Friday 16. February present the Long Term Defence Plan (LTDP) for 2002 – 2005. The LTDP will propose a comprehensive restructuring of the Norwegian Defence. The aim is to create a flexible defence organisation to meet today’s and tomorrow's challenges.

This is a so called "streamed" video, and two versions - one intended for 56 kb (ISDN) and one intended for 100 kb (2xISDN) data transmission - will be available. The quality of the video may be somewhat reduced when transmitted on the net. We therefore recommend you to download the charts, and open them at the same time as watching the video. In the video it will be indicated which chart is commented.

The short version of the Long Term Defence Plan will be available on our home pages from 1115 hrs. There will be a complete version in words, and a file in PDF-format. For more information on the PDF format, please see technical specifications below.

You can view the press conference with the Minister of Defence on the Internet. The press conference starts at 1130 hrs. The conference will be "streamed" to the following web site: http:/www.odin.dep.no/norsk/direkte

Before and during the transmission of the press conference, it will be possible for viewers to forward questions directly to the Minister of Defence. Mail your question to:pressekonferanse@fdinfo.org

The questions can be forwarded from 1115 hrs and onwards. Towards the end of the conference the Minister will answer as many of these questions as possible.
