Change of political advisor
in the Ministry of Defence
The Office of the Prime Minister has from 1 January 2004 appointed Mr. Bengt Trygve Eidem (26), police inspector, as political advisor in the Ministry of Defence. Mr. Eidem succeeds Mr. Bård Glad Pedersen, who in today’s session of the Council of State was appointed state secretary in the Ministry of Defence from 1 January 2004.
Bengt Eidem comes from Trondheim, and is a graduate of the Norwegian Police Academy. He has exams also from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and from Sør-Trøndelag University College. Mr. Eidem has been a member of Trondheim City Council, Conservative Party campaign secretary in Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag, member of the Young Conservative national board and leader of Sør-Trøndelag Young Conservatives.
