Change of state secretary
in Ministry of Justice

In today’s session of the Council of State the King has appointed Mr. Trond Prytz (58), chief constable, Steinkjer, as state secretary for the Minister of Justice and the Police, Odd Einar Dørum, from 18 June 2004. At the same time Mr. Jørn Holme has been honourably discharged from the same office.

Trond Prytz is Cand. Jur. and comes from the office as chief constable in Nord-Trøndelag, a post he has held since 2002. He has formerly been chief constable in Namdal, acting chief of the National Criminal Investigation Service, head of mission of the Temporary International Presence in the City of Hebron, special executive officer at Nord-Trøndelag County Municipality, police chief superintendent in Namdal and deputy judge at Toten Registry Office.

Mr. Prytz has been board member, deputy leader and leader of the Norwegian association of police officers. He has been Liberal Party member of Namsos Municipal Council 1991-2003, and been leader of Namsos Liberal Party.

The Government represents the Conservative Party (C), the Christian Democratic Party (Chr.) and the Liberal Party (Lib.). From 18 June 2004 the list of state secretaries looks as below.
