New political advisor in Ministry
of Labour and Government Administration
The Office of the Prime Minister has from 17 March 2004 appointed Ms. Anne Haabeth Rygg (30), political advisor, Oslo, as political advisor in the Ministry of Labour and Government Administration. She succeeds Mr. Nils Ola Widme, who resigned from the post at the shift of minister on 8 March this year.
Anne Haabeth Rygg comes from Bærum in the County of Akershus, and is Cand. Mag. with politcal science, Eastern European studies and mathematics from the University of Oslo in 1996. She now comes from the post as political advisor to the Chief Commissioner of Oslo. She has formerly been political advisor to Oslo’s commissioner for environment and communications, information officer at the Norwegian Atlantic Committee and leader of the Norwegian Student Union. She has held elected posts on the Conservative Party in Oslo, the European Movement in Oslo, on the City Council of Oslo and Akershus County Council, and on the Young Conservatives of Norway.
The Government represents the Conservative Party (C), the Christian Democratic Party (Chr.) and the Liberal Party (Lib.). The list of political advisors now looks as follows:
