In today’s session of the Council of State the King has appointed Mr. Roger Iversen (30), political advisor, Oslo, as state secretary for Ms. Erna Solberg in the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, and Mr. Geir S. Olsen (40), political advisor, Oslo, as state secretary for Mr. Per-Kristian Foss in the Ministry of Finance. Both appointments have been made as of 1 January 2005.

Roger Iversen comes from the post as political advisor in the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, while Geir S. Olsen comes from the post as political advisor in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

The Government represents the Conservative Party (C), the Christian Democratic Party (CD) and the Liberal Party (L). From 1 January 2005 the list of state secretaries looks as below.
