East Timor. The Norwegian Prime Minister opens the Oslo Donors Conference on December 11 2001
The Norwegian Prime Minister Mr Bondevik will open a Donors Conference on East Timor on Tuesday 11 December at 1:00 pm in Oslo Congress Centre (Folkets Hus). Nobel Laureate Secretary General Kofi Annan, the President of the World Bank Mr Wolfensohn, Chief Minister Mari Alkatiri and Nobel Laureate Jose Ramos-Horta will participate in the opening session.
After the opening session there will be a short press encounter with Mr Annan, Mr Wolfensohn, and Mr Alkatiri. The Norwegian Government will be represented by the Minister of International Development Ms Hilde F Johnson. The press encounter will take place in Oslo Congress Centre from 1:30 pm to 1:50 pm.
The Closing Session of the Donors Conference will take place on 12 December at 4:00 pm. At 4:30 pm there will be a press conference in Oslo Congress Centre where the Norwegian Minister of International Development will participate together with representatives from the UN Transitional Administration in East Timor, The World Bank and representatives from the East Timorese Government.
