Skulberg new state secretary in ministry of cultural affairs
Dr. Per Kristian Skulberg (47) is appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. Dr. Skulberg will be State Secretary for the Minister of Culture Anne Enger Lahnstein, who is the leader of the Centre Party, one of the three parties of the of the present coalition government of Norway.
Dr. Skulberg was State Secretary in the Ministry of the Environment in 1990. He was Political Adviser for the Minister of the Environment 1984-86. He was a member of the National Council of Cultural Heritage 1986-96. 1991-95 he was President of Heritage Interpretation International, an organization working to promote the interpretation of the values of our natural and cultural heritage.
Dr. Skulberg was deputy representative to Parliament for the Centre Party in his home county Østfold 1989-97. He was a member of the municipal board of Spydeberg 1979-87.
Per Kristian Skulberg graduated from the Medical School of the University of Oslo in 1977. He has been a general practitioner in Askim since 1979.
