The Crown Prince and Crown Princess will travel through the counties of Oppland, Sør-Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal from Saturday 29 September until Wednesday 3 October 2001.

On Saturday 29 September The Crown Prince and Crown Princess will take the royal train to Lillehammer. After their stay in Lillehammer they will travel through Gudbrandsdalen, making stops at Ringebu, Hundorp, Kvam and Dombås.

On Sunday 30 September Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit will visit the municipalities of Rennebu, Meldal and Orkdal. On Monday morning their journey will continue from Orkdal to Hemne, Aure and Halsa municipalities.

On Tuesday 2 October they will visit the municipalities of Rindal and Surnadal, and they will finish their journey with a visit to Sunndal and Oppdal municipalities. They will then return to Oslo on the royal train.
