The Royal Wedding on 25 August 2001 – Accreditation

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon and Miss Mette-Marit Tjessem Høiby are being married in Oslo Cathedral on Saturday 25 August 2001.

The main events will be as follows:

Thursday 23 August:

The Crown Prince and Miss Tjessem Høiby will hold a party for close friends at Skaugum.

Friday 24 August:

Arrival of heads of state and royal and other guests.

The King and Queen will hold a lunch at the Royal Palace for royal guests who arrive during the morning.

The Crown Prince and Miss Tjessem Høiby will host a boat trip for royal, Norwegian and foreign guests around the Oslo Fjord on the royal yacht Norge.

The Government will hold a dinner for the wedding couple at Akershus Castle in the evening.

Saturday 25 August:

Visit by the royal guests to the Henie-Onstad Art Centre, Høvikodden, to see Her Majesty Queen Sonja’s private art collection, followed by lunch.

Wedding in Oslo Cathedral at 17.00.

Wedding dinner at the Royal Palace and Oslo Militære Samfund, followed by a ball at the Royal Palace.
