16. mai sluttet Norge seg til EUs erklæring om en utvidelse av EUs restriktive tiltak mot Nord-Korea.
On 26 April 2018 the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2018/655[1] concerning restrictive measures against Myanmar/Burma.
The Council extended the current arms embargo and strengthened it by prohibiting the export of dual-use goods for use by the military and border guard police and by imposing restrictions on the export of equipment for monitoring communications.
In addition, the Council prohibited the provision of military training to and military cooperation with the Myanmar/Burma army. The Council also adopted a legal framework for targeted restrictive measures against certain persons from the Myanmar / Burma army and the border guard police.
The Candidate Countries Turkey, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia*, Montenegro* and Albania*, the country of the Stabilisation and Association Process and potential candidate Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the EFTA countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, as well as the Republic of Moldova and Armenia, align themselves with this declaration.
They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.
The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
