Barne-, likestillings- og inkluderingsdepartementet deltok på deler av årets generalforsamling under møtene i 3. komité.
Barne-, likestillings- og inkluderingsdepartementet (BLD) deltok på deler av årets generalforsamling under møtene i 3. komité som blant annet behandler saker som gjelder menneskerettigheter, kvinner, barn, rasisme og diskriminering, sosiale utviklingsspørsmål knyttet til ungdom, familie, alder og personer med funksjonsnedsettelser.
Ambassadør Tine Mørch Smith holdt Norges innlegg om barn "On the rights of the child", 15 oktober 2010.
Juliet Namuli Birabwa Haveland, seniorrådgiver i BLD, holdt Norges innlegg "on the advancement of women" 12. oktober 2010.
Norges innlegg under dagsorden punkt 27 om “Social Development, Mainstreaming Disability in Development” (Sosial utvikling og Integrering av personer med funksjonsnedsettelser i utviklingsarbeidet) ble holdt av Ann-Marit Sæbønes, spesialrådgiver i BLD 4. oktober 2010.
