State secretary Bård Vegar Solhjell at the Office of the Prime Minister will be away on leave and holiday from 26 May to 17 September 2006. In his absence the Office has from 1 June appointed Mr. Kjetil Hillestad (41), head of information, Oslo, as acting state secretary.

Kjetil Hillestad comes from the post as head of information at the Socialist Left Party's Storting secretariat. He holds the degree of Cand. Mag. from the University of Oslo since 1987, with political science, economy and mass communication as subjects.
