Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre has appointed Anne Lund as Director General of the Human and Financial Resources Department from Monday 8 January.Anne Lund is at present Director General of the Department for Culture, Public Diplomacy and Protocol.

- I am confident that I have found a leader with the necessary integrity and openness to fill this important position and continue the ongoing modernisation process in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said Mr Støre.

- I have attached particular importance to finding a candidate with extensive leadership experience and a modern, open and including leadership style, who is familiar with the foreign service both at home and abroad. Anne Lund has all these qualities, and I am delighted that she has accepted the position, he added.
