Gratulasjonsbrev til Europakommisjonens president

Dear Ms von der Leyen, 

I would like to extend my warmest congratulations on your re-election as President of the European Commission.

I would also like to thank you for our close cooperation during your first five years as President. These have been challenging years for our continent, especially following the full-scale Russian attack on Ukraine. Your able and steady leadership has been of crucial importance for Europe.

Our shared values and our common commitment to democracy, rule of law and human rights is the foundation for the close relationship between the EU and Norway. These values will continue to guide us as we develop our relationship. 

In the last few years, the EU-Norway relationship has been further strengthened by creation of the EU-Norway Green Alliance and, more recently, the Security and Defence Partnership.  

I look forward to continuing working with you – and wish you success in your next five years as President of the European Commission. You can continue to count on the reliable support from Norway.
