Dear Prime Minister Modi

I would like to congratulate you on your re-election as Prime Minister of India.

Norway and India enjoy excellent bilateral relations based on shared values and a high level of mutual trust and respect. Our ties have expanded considerably over the years, and today our two countries cooperate in a wide range of areas. Norway and India also work together constructively in many multilateral arenas. I am confident that we will succeed in further strengthening our ties and cooperation in the time ahead. With this in mind, I look forward to welcoming you and the Nordic Prime Ministers to the Nordic-India summit in Norway this autumn.

I wish you every success in your third term as Prime Minister and with the important tasks that lie ahead.
