Peace and reconciliation efforts
For several decades, Norway has played the role of facilitator between parties to conflicts. Promoting conflict resolution and reconciliation is a central aspect of Norwegian foreign policy.

Women’s participation in peace processes
We strive to ensure that more women participate at all levels of peace and reconciliation efforts, and that all those involved in a peace process know how to integrate the gender perspective into their work.
Norway’s engagement in peace work – by country
Norway is involved in peace efforts in a number of countries. An overview is given here. However, much of Norway’s work in this area is confidential, so it is not possible to give an exhaustive overview.
