16 Aid management, expertise and resources

In order to contribute effectively to achieving the SDGs, we have to make optimal use of our resources and manage our aid funds well. Over the last few years, a comprehensive set of rules has been developed for aid management and follow-up.

We will coordinate our bilateral and multilateral efforts more closely, and we will ensure a consistent approach both at bilateral level and in multilateral fora. In line with the changing global landscape, we will promote more dialogue with actors that have not traditionally been considered development actors.

In countries where we have a presence, we will seek to strengthen our Team Norway profile. The embassies concerned will act as a hub for Norway’s overall engagement in the country. This could include the activities of Norfund, Innovation Norway and Norwegian businesses, as well as aid-funded activities in cooperation with multilateral or national partners.
